At Horsham Coffee Roaster we focus on roasting coffees to optimize positive flavour attributes. The natural flavour compounds found in coffee are affected by the varietal, soil, microclimate, post harvest processing and the roasting process.

We roast all of our coffees on a Loring S35 eco-roaster. This is an advanced roaster that allows for very precise control over the roasting process.

Light roast

Roasted to highlight and enhance the nuanced flavour properties that best represent the origin and processing method. These coffees are light, delicate and complex, they work perfectly as a filter or light espresso.

Medium roast

Roasted to highlight and enhance sweetness, whilst retaining balanced acidity and fruit characteristics. These coffees have more body than light roasts and work well as a filter or espresso.

Medium-dark roast

Roasted to maximise body and sweetness and to minimise acidity as much as possible without introducing 'roast' flavours. These coffees are fuller-bodied and work well as espresso or in a heavy-bodied filter. Very well suited for milk-based beverages and are typically easier to work with when brewing espresso.
