Meet the team

Horsham Coffee Roaster is run by a team of people obsessed with and dedicated to speciality coffee. We are a small family business focusing on ethical, direct sourcing from Rwanda, Costa Rica and Kenya.

As a small team of 8 people we take on shared roles at the roastery and you can find out more about us below:

Amelia Steenkamp - Founder

Amelia is the co-founder of Horsham Coffee Roaster. Over the years she has taken on many roles at the roastery including running our dispatch and travelling to Costa Rica and Rwanda to meet our partner producers. Now that the team has grown, she focuses on helping to manage the business and the business finances.

Bradley Steenkamp - Founder

Bradley is the co-founder of Horsham Coffee Roaster. His main role is to over-see the day-to-day operations. As a licensed Arabica Q-grader since 2018, Bradley plays a big part in the sourcing and selecting of our coffees at origin. He also completed the CQI Processing Generalist course in 2019.

As a keen photographer you will see many of his photos on the website and social media specifially images taken in Costa Rica, Rwanda and Kenya.

Dudley Powell - Head roaster

Dudley is our head production roaster and works with the rest of the team to plan out the roasting and to make sure we never run out of coffee! He takes on a range of different roles within the roastery including running our quality control program and ordering green coffee stock. He has visited our partner producers in Rwanda and Costa Rica.

Beckie White - Barista trainer and cafe manager

Beckie runs our home barista training courses and and supervises our cafe space. She can often be found helping out on dispatch, packing coffee and making sure orders go out on time. She has visited our partner producers in Costa Rica.

Ben Bishop - Production manager

Ben runs our dispatch department on a day to day basis. It's his job to manage the production team and to decide what will be packed and dispatched every day. He regularly assists with roasting whenever he can and has visited our partner producers in Costa Rica.

Jack Bridgewater - Customer support manager

Jack is in charge of customer support and manages our support ticket system. He also assists as part of our dispatch team preparing and packing orders. He has visited our partner producers in Costa Rica.

Harry Huntington - Dispatch assistant/barista

Harry is one of our baristas in charge of our coffee shop space. He also assists on dispatch with order preparation and packing.

Dominic White - Head of Wholesale

Dom looks after our wholesale customers and provides them with training and the support they require to serve fantastic coffee. Dom also assists with our marketing and social media.

Jordan Spiers - roaster and dispatch assistant

Jordan is our newest member of the team and his time is split between assisting with roasting and dispatch. He can also be found making fantastic coffee for customers in our cafe space.
