About Karinga AB | Kenya
This fantastic washed coffee comes from a group of 500 producers located in the Kiambu county. After harvest the coffee cherry is delivered for processing.
The coffee is first pulped to remove the outer layer of fruit and then fermented dry overnight. In the morning the coffee will be washed and graded in channels using water to separate be density. The coffee is then dried on raised tables. -

Karinga washing station was established in 1983 and rests on a 5 acres piece of land serving Kimaruri, Kariungu, Gachuha and Mugalwa Villages. There are about 500 active members who grow and harvest coffee for delivery to the washing station for processing.

I got a new grinder and was grinding too coarse initially, but once I dialled it in finer these are some really lovely fruity, high acidity, flavourful beans!
