Coffee Origin

Costa Rica

Costa Rican farmers are known for their tendency to experiment with various post harvest processing method and for planting rare and interesting coffees, such as SL-28 and Geisha. We've been buying our Costa Rican coffees direct from the same producers for several years with the help of Selva coffee.

The Producer

La Cumbre

La Cumbre wet mill is owned by Minor and Nancy Jimenez. Dedicated to producing fantastic coffee by working with an excellent team of harvesters dedicated to delivering high-quality coffee cherry from Catui, Caturra and Centroamericano varietal trees.

Learn more about Mantiqueira

The Producer

Kenya Marimira

Founded in 1966 on the volcanic slopes of the Aberdares, Marimira supports around 1,000 smallholder farmers in Murang'a West. This washed peaberry lot blends SL28, K7, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties, fermented and washed in water from the Mukungai River, then sun-dried slowly for a clean, bright, juicy flavour profile.

The Producer

Colombia Gaitania

This coffee comes from the Nasa Wesx indigenous community in Gaitania, a village in Planadas, Tolima — a region known for the warmth and resilience of its people, shaped by a history of political reconciliation between rival parties.

This Caturra lot is fermented in a low-oxygen environment for 50 hours, then sun-dried on raised beds under temperature-controlled conditions to reach ideal moisture.

Good daily drinker

This is a pleasant, well-balanced coffee. The v8 blend has a nice, slightly fruit-forward taste without being too acidic. Hints of caramel and chocolate come through afterwards. We prefer this as an Aeropress or V60, favouring Nova blend for espresso.

My immediate thought on tasting El Zumo for the first time was “I need to order more of this”. And I have. A lovely blend of chocolaty and fruity flavours.

Not for me but a refund was given.

I didn't like this coffee but the owner gave a refund, no complaints.

Hi Stephen, I'm sorry to hear you weren't happy with the El Zumo. Just to clarify, you actually purchased 1.5kg of coffee for £57.50, not 750g. We always want our customers to be happy with their purchase and encourage new and existing customers to reach out to us as we are able to provide tips and advice on how to get the best from our coffee. And, should that fail to work we are happy to discuss suitable options for how we can make things right. Feel free to contact us directly at info@horshamcoffeeroaster.com. I've gone ahead and refunded your El Zumo purchase for you. Thanks, Bradley

My favourite coffee

This is undoubtedly my favourite coffee from Horsham Coffee Roasters. Just delicious and perfectly roasted. Too many coffee roasters over-roast their coffee, but Horsham get it just right and so the flavour is perfectly brought out. Thank you so much for my monthly subscription!

A must try!!

I like trying different coffees so it’s very rare for me to reorder the same beans , I’m currently on my second batch of El Zumo beans and I’ll likely order a third! My favourite coffee this year 🙌🏼,

Exceptionally satisfying

Received the El Zumo Blend free with my purchase. As a cold brewed black coffee drinker, the flavour profile is stunning! Never have I enjoyed such fully flavoured sip of coffee. Would recommend any day!

Delicious berry flavours without too much funk

Really nice red berry acids without crazy fermented funk. Love this for filter AND it's amazing for flat whites, which I didn't expect.

Great profile for a blend

This is my first blend after a long run of single origins and I'm convinced! It's delicious, focused and fruity without any being over-powering or cloying. The roast is spot-on. It could easily persuade me to be less of a snob!
