On Friday the 28th of March a devastating earthquake hit Myanmar with a 7.7. On Sunday 30 March, another 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded northwest of Mandalay and at least 13 aftershocks have been reported since then.
This earthquake sadly killed several thousand people and has had a terrible impact on the lives of so many more. The country was already facing political and infrastructure issues before this event.
At the time of the earthquake impact we had purchased two fantastic coffees from producers located around 80 miles from the epicenter of the earthquake. To show support we decided to donate all the value of the sale of these coffees from the 28th of March onwards.
We would like to thank all our customers for supporting us by buying these two fantastic coffees. Together we have managed to raise £5015 that has been donated to the Myanmar Red Cross Earthquake appeal.
