About Los Alamos Geisha | Ecuador
This Geisha lot comes from Los Álamos, a remote farm in the mountains of Palanda, Zamora Chinchipe, cultivated by Oliveros Alverca, a coffee producer with over 20 years of experience.
Grown at 1,650 MASL and with 80% of the coffee under natural shade, the farm benefits from a cool microclimate, surrounded by the wild forests of the Yacurí Reserve. With no road access, every cherry must be carried out by foot or mule.
Ripe cherries, selectively handpicked at 20° Brix, are floated, pulped, and fermented for 48 hours in closed plastic tanks. After washing, the coffee is slow-dried over 35 days on raised beds under a marquesina, with day temperatures between 20–28°C and cooler nights of 16–20°C. Once dried, the coffee is stored in GrainPro bags to preserve quality and freshness
The result is a washed coffee with a refined, floral cup profile, offering notes of peach, white grape and a sugar cane like sweetness. -

Coffee Origin
Ecuador
Speciality coffee from Ecuador is quite rare to find, with just a small amount produced and exported compared to neighbouring countries. We are pleased to be able to feature a fantastic coffee from a small farm in Ecuador.

A really great coffee, wonderful flavour of milk chocolate and peachy sweetness. Elegant with a gentle acidity. My favourite coffee this year, a find from Ecuador
