A batch brewer that doesn't ask you to compromise, paired with a grinder that can keep up with it.
Filter machines have long had a reputation for convenience at the expense of quality, and historically it was deserved. The Aiden is the answer to that. It brews up to 1.5 litres, takes both Melitta #2 cone filters and 8–12 cup flat bottom basket filters so you can choose the style of cup you prefer, and connects to the Fellow app for saved recipes and firmware updates. For anyone brewing filter every morning, or brewing for more than one person, that's a meaningful step up from standing over a kettle.
The Opus 2 is the natural partner. Its 48mm conical burrs run cool to protect the aromatics in lighter roasted coffees, and near-zero retention means the dose you weigh in is the dose that reaches the brewer. Built-in grind guidance takes the guesswork out of finding a starting point, and because the Opus 2 covers everything from espresso to cold brew, it won't limit you if your brewing habits change.
A considered setup for someone who drinks good filter coffee daily and wants it to be consistently good without the hands-on work.
