This coffee works well for all brew methods.
Filter: Dose 15g-16g, water 250g.
Espresso: Dose 18 gram to 40-42 gram yield over about 30 seconds.
The Nova blend is roasted a touch darker and will also suit shorter extractions ie. 18 gram dose to 36 gram yield.

Are these beans best for Espresso or Filter?
That’s a question we’re often asked. Our approach to single origin roasting follows what’s known as an “omni” roast – meaning we don’t roast specifically for espresso or filter, but instead aim to showcase each coffee’s best flavours across a variety of brew methods.
You’ll find our single origin coffees perform beautifully as filter, cafetiere or Aeropress brews. For espresso, some may need a little extra attention – careful dialling in, precise weighing, tamping and extraction will help bring out their full character.
Our Coffee Selection Box includes a bag of our Brazil Single Origin and Workhorse Blend – both versatile enough for filter brewing but particularly well-suited to espresso.

You’ll receive our Workhorse Blend plus four seasonal coffees from our current range — ideal for discovering new flavours or gifting to a coffee lover.
Are the coffees in the Selection Box suitable for espresso or filter?

All coffees are freshly roasted at our Burgess Hill roastery in Sussex and dispatched quickly using Tracked 24 delivery. We roast several times a week to ensure every bag arrives full of flavour and aroma – just as our roasters intended.
