Urban Botanica
Urban Botanica is another collaboration between ourselves and a dear friend, Stephen Wood.
We met Stephen early on in our coffee journey when we were still running our market stall in Horsham. At the time Stephen was a young coffee enthusiast who soon went off travelling to Canada. Whilst there he managed a fantastic coffee shop and came back with grand plans to open his own. His plans went on hold for a few years in which time he became our longest serving employee at the roastery. During this time he honed his plans, and ordered his fantastic custom made Kees Van de Western espresso machine which rested at the roastery whilst he found the ideal spot in South London to launch his shop.
The Kees moved out to it’s new home in Kennington in October 2018 and it is a beautiful space which retails amazing house plants alongside our coffee.
Stephen’s keen attention to detail and meticulous quest for quality makes Urban Botanica a serene and stylish place to enjoy a coffee. Urban Botanica serves only single origin coffees and has two options for espresso as well as a Marco SP9 for perfect, fresh filter coffee.
The crockery is all hand-made by Brighton based potter Potter’s Thumb and adds a stylish and quirky look. The delicious food has all been carefully selected from local businesses. Urban Botanica is located at 14 Windmill Row, Kennington, it has already been featured in Caffeine magazine and is well worth a visit when you are in London, be sure to bring lots of bags to transport your plants home!
