I have an existing bladed grinder, which got damaged, and the grind is not consistent. I wanted to improve that without spending a fortune.

I also wanted something non electrical, like an old style mill, save energy.. electrical, not mine! This is a very nice mill, seems to produce a reasonably consistent grind. It is easy to adjust, though it would be fiddly if I switched from espresso to Bodum press pot and back, but hey, what's time?! It means I only grind what I need, which keeps it fresh. It's easy to dry clean by tapping it to remove the fines.

A good first grinder. To my untrained eye, the grind distribution is decently even with a few boulder-y grounds here and there. Using this with my aeropress and I get a nice cup out of it. Recommended for a first grinder. :)

A great inexpensive grinder for someone getting into speciality coffee, or even to work as a travelling grinder.

A great small hand grinder, light and ergonomically designed and with more secure handle than the previous model. But it is not possible to tell visually which grind setting it is on without turning it back to 0 and re-counting the notches from there. Admittedly this is only a problem if you are grinding for different brewing methods, but as I tend to do that I have awarded it 4 out of 5 stars.

This is a great little coffee grinder which is simply brilliant. Great value and works brilliantly. Very impressed.

About 125 turns to produce 1.5 units of ground coffee beans. Very good grind and excellent result.

Lovely to have freshly ground coffee with easy to adjust burrs meaning I can use a variety of different brewing methods with my beans. Great price and speedy dispatch and delivery from Horsham!

Good option for a low cost grinder, produces better consistency than an electric grinder at the same price point.

The grinder was either faulty and so not grinding properly or this is just a very slow grinder. Took nearly 10 minutes to finish grinding, so buyer beware on that.

However, I returned the item for full refund to Horsham so no complaints from me. Great customer service.

I cannot fault the quality and working of the product. It's small, neat, well made, and does the job - hence 5 stars. However, a manual coffee grinder that's not clamped to a work surface was not such a good idea for me. You have to hold the unit down onto a surface while turning the handle with the other hand - not fun, even if you place a tea towel underneath. Some pains from tennis elbow I suffered a long time ago seem to have resurfaced. Consider.
