  • About Don Eli Geisha | Costa Rica

This is a stunning natural processed Geisha from our friends Carlos and Jacob at the Don Eli micro mill in Tarrazu, Costa Rica. We've been buying coffee from them directly since 2020 and they have won many Cup of Excellence awards. This year they won two awards for their Geisha coffees. This coffee was harvested at high altitude with only perfectly ripe cherry selected for drying on raised tables.

This process has created a fantastic high cup score Geisha microlot (88+ points) with tasting notes that include peach, pear, lemonade and red grade.

Delicious

Started this yesterday having ordered few weeks ago with 2 others . Sadly now out of stock but it is delicious, no harsh flavour but very rounded . Aeropress with steamed milk

Delicate but rewarding

Brewing through Hario Switch. Flavour notes of peach and honeysuckle coming through with a long sweet finish. Made two brews so far both of which have come in with an extraction yield of 19.5% so might tighten the grind a tad to push the yield a bit. Even at 19/5% though, the coffee shines

Love it

This coffee has a floral smell while you take every sip. I enjoy drinking this coffee. I make it with AeroPress + Puckpuck to drink as cold brew. Brings out all the good flavors and coffee notes.

Incredibly good

Wow! This is something very special. Absolutely loved it and I'm very glad I grabbed a bag of it while it was available. Honestly what a delicate and delightful flavour profile. I've only tried it as a V60 filter, but I'm quite excited to try it as an espresso. It's absolutely the top quality I have come to expect from Horsham.
