About Bwishaza | Rwanda
Our coffees from Rwanda are directly traded with producers and we are able to offer full transparency and detailed information on these coffees. For more information on how we source coffees take a look at our Transparency Report.
Coffee is delivered daily during the harvest period (February to June) by small-hold farmers. Usually, they deliver anything between 10 and 100kg depending on the size of their farm.
After delivery coffee is floated in water. Defects tend to float and the good quality cherry will sink. After flotation coffee is pulped to remove the fruit and then fermented dry in tanks for about 12 hrs
After fermentation, the coffee is washed and graded in channels to remove mucilage and to separate coffee by density. It is then moved to raised tables to dry.

Rwanda 🇷🇼
The majority of the coffee grown in Rwanda comes from Reb Bourbon trees grown on small hold farms and delivered to a local washing station for processing. The picture on the shows the Bwishaza washing station surrounded by farms that include coffee, bananas, cassava and other essential crops.
I really like this coffee. I make a 500ml moccamaster brew with it twice a day and the results are always great. It’s a very tasty coffee which is ideal for high volume coffee brewing.
Great quality beans roasted a few days prior
It’s Good!
My favourite cost-friendly coffee. So bright and fruity, always the highest quality. Superb!
This is simply the best coffee. Everyone in our office loves it. We have tried many others and not found better.
