The Comandante hand grinder is, without doubt, the best hand grinder currently available on the market. Most hand coffee grinders are built to entry-level standards with acceptable burrs and build quality.

The Comandante C40 mk4 is leagues ahead and was designed to rival some of the best electronic grinders on the market. The precision burrs are crafted from a single block of high nitrogen steel making them incredibly tough and able to produce very consistent particle sizes.

At this price range, the grind quality is unbeatable and is superior to any electronic grinder at a similar price.

In a review of grinders, the COMANDANTE stood out for me

I was disappointed with the taste of coffee from my refillable pods. I had tried to match the grind size to that in my favourite bought pods, using my parents 1960s manual grinder - so i watched a review of coffee grinders; the COMANDANTE stood out to me.
The resulting coffee from its grind was a miraculous transformation, i had hopes but did not expect how much difference the grinder would make.

If you want a hand grinder this will not disappoint

My Comandante arrived and I absolutely love it. It feels well made, grinds the best coffee I have ever had at home and looks beautiful as well. I could not be happier. My only note of caution is be clear that you really do want to hand grind your coffee, while its smooth with the Comandante you do feel it, so if you think that that's not for you, then consider an electric grinder. I brew filter coffee, not sure I would have the endurance to grind espresso on this.

The C40 is one of the best hand grinders on the market.

This is a big upgrade on my previous hand grinder. The C40 looks the business and It's easy to use. It's a wonderful piece of craftsmanship and engineering. Highly recommend. A big thank you to Horsham for their great service.

C40 lives up to the hype

My first foray into the hand grinder market hasn’t disappointed. I moved from a 10-year old Dualit electric grinder to a hand grinder. I grind at work now. Workflow is smooth and the coffee is excellent.
