  • About Kianderi AB | Kenya

We first visited the Kianderi co-operative in December 2016 and have been buying their coffee every since. This is a stunning AB extended ferment microlot. After delivery the cherry was pulped and dry fermented for 48 hours before being washed and graded in channels.

We love the bright, distinctive tasting notes that include blackcurrant, rhubarb and brown sugar.

The Producer

Kianderi

Kianderi is a cooperative of coffee producers located in the Kirinyaga district south of mount Kenya. We've been buying coffee from them since 2016, and this year we had to purchase and import the coffee entirely ourselves, which presented a few interesting challenges!

Coffee Origin

Kenya 🇰🇪

Kenyan coffee tends to showcase bright, juicy flavours with high acidity. The varietal, high altitude, volcanic soil, climate and processing are all key factors that contribute to the unique Kenyan flavours profile. Excellent

I'm not that much of a coffee expert or enjoyer but it still managed to impress me with its characteristic aroma. Definitely recommend it.

The coffee from HCR is always of high quality. I enjoy East African coffee and ordered this, together with an Ethiopian Beloya. They are both light and, in my opinion, fruity coffees which can be enjoyed at any time of the day. I have yet to be disappointed in a coffee from HCR and their delivery time from placing an order to receipt is excellent.
