was given a 250g bag of Horsham Coffee for xmas. Have just ordered 1.25 Kg - I think that says it all!
Horsham are great. The coffee and service are both good. I like ordering from them.
I don't think anyone could be offended by the flavour profile of Horsham Coffee Roaster's Organic Blend. Without knowing anything about the history or intention behind this blend, the outcome is a coffee that's on good terms with everyone.
It's balanced and dependable, and won't catch you out. If you desire a speciality coffee, but perhaps want to avoid the potential flavour surprises of an unwashed / natural bean or blend, then the Organic Blend is something you should try.
This blend turns up on time, answers your calls, pays its taxes, is on great terms with the in-laws, cares about its health, picks the children up from school, and will be there for you on your worst day. Personifying a little further, it's the friend you can invite into your home, and yet never feel compelled to keep them engaged in conversation or entertained because their physical company is more than enough. It won't cause you any anxiety when it takes 'mi casa es su casa' literally, and makes a sandwich for itself in your kitchen without intervention.
I've tried and enjoyed the Organic Blend multiple times as a filter coffee and espresso, and it's performed equally well in both domains. This is not a coffee that stands out because of some unique or unexpected characteristics. Rather, it's something that's more accurately described as a classic, serving both newcomers and veterans to the world of speciality coffee equally well.
No complaints from me, other than the fact that I need to order another bag.
When I open the glass Jar, in which freshly roasted beans (as always, thank to Horsham Coffee Roaster!) are kept, the aromatic chocolaty smell drifts out. As I grind the beans, the aroma gets enhanced. Brewed filtered coffee holds the pleasant chocolaty aroma and gives a hint of sweet citrus (orange and pineapple in the description).
As someone who cannot have caffeine for medical reasons I have tasted many bad decaf coffees but this is not one of them. The red berry taste was the most prominent for me which I liked. Tasted great in both pour-over v60 and Aeropress and with oat milk this coffee tasted even better. 10/10 would buy from Horsham again and i would love to see them extend their decaf range.
